Hiking is my passion. I used to run daily and then got injured. Like most caregivers I did not listen to my own advice and kept trying to run instead of resting. I kept reinjuring and got to the point where I would limp after walking 5 blocks. I have done physical therapy and after 2 years I still have issues running, but have learned that I can hike long distances. I can now do backpacking trips for miles. I still have to be careful to not reinjure them. I have found that I love the outdoors and share a passion with other hikers and backpackers. I continue to push my limits and do more incredible hikes. Next year my goal is to do Annapurna Basecamp and maybe one day summit Rainier or Mt. Baker.
