Financial Assistance

We have partnered with Brightside to help with all your financial needs. Eligible caregivers who register with Brightside will receive free, confidential, and personalized support from a dedicated financial assistant.

Get support with:

  • Debt Management: Get out of debt faster and save money by refinancing or renegotiating what you owe, improving your credit score, or prioritizing bills
  • Accessing Resources: Gain access to local community resources and find the best options for cash in an emergency, even if you have a low credit score
  • Savings: Increase savings for emergencies and major purchases like a car or home
  • Spending Plans: Discuss everyday expenses and find ways to make your money go further
  • Much More: Assistance with applying for the Medical Plan Assistance Program or Helping Hands, and discuss any other financial needs towards short and long term solutions

Medical Plan Assistance Program (MPAP)

The Medical Plan Assistance Program provides medical coverage with no premiums or reduced premiums to many eligible caregivers, based on family size and household income. If your income or household size changes, you may be eligible for the program even if you didn’t qualify in the past. Applications can be submitted at any time.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a tax-free grant funded program that is available to provide emergency assistance (up to a $2,000 lifetime limit) to caregivers who are experiencing a crisis or unanticipated personal hardship that has created a financial threat to provide for their basic necessities.

We have partnered with Tuition.io to guide all caregivers with their student loans. When you sign up for Tuition.io, you will have access to information, tools, and coaches that will help you manage, and, over time, eliminate you student loan debt. Also, if you are the parent of college-bound children, Tuition.io will help you find ways to save and pay for their education.

Providence Federal Credit Union Caregiver Loan

Providence Federal Credit Union offers a caregiver loan of up to $2,000. To qualify you will need:

  • Current Providence employment in good standing for at least 6 months
  • Valid photo ID
  • No active bankruptcies or judgments
  • Automatic payments through payroll deduction or ACH

Interest rates start at 9.99%. Repayment terms from 3 to 12 months.
