Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not unto your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and he will direct your paths. This Bible verse was made real to me over the last couple years. In 2021, I was hospitalized for the first time in my life and not just once but four times. One was because of a motorcycle accident and the others were cardiac related. I was not eating very healthy and had a lot of job stress (before I came to Providence). I think many of us also had various impacts on our personal and work life related to COVID. I traveled for work and as part of a motorcycle ministry as well before COVID. The work travel was upended and I missed two outreaches because of the hospitalizations so I began to question why all this was happening. I know God is always faithful and always loves me so I continued to trust Him while He helped me through those challenges by showing me how I could change my diet and excersize. Also, my job situation changed and I found myself without work. I could have stressed over it, but I didn’t and even took an awesome once in a lifetime three-week motorcycle trip across country visiting several national parks, camping and hiking. Then, it was an answer to prayer that I started at Providence in September. So, I would like to acknowledge that God has been faithful and looking back I can see how His hand orchestrated where I am today.
