New Patient Story

I thought being diagnosed with diabetes when I was a child was a death sentence. I didn’t understand during my teenage and young adult years the potential consequences that could happen. When I entered health care, I was inspired by the families of children with new diagnoses of diabetes and how scared and alone they felt. I knew this was an opportunity to give back through my personal experiences. I never want anyone to feel alone or that they are defeated by this diagnosis. I make it a point to share my story that you can still accomplish great things in life while managing a health condition and sometimes even using it as I inspiration to others.
