Learning how to eat healthy.

Hi, I have challenges with my weight and my A1C was creeping up… started at 5.8 a few years back and when it got to 6.2 my doctor wanted to put me on meds. I take so many for a variety of issues and didn’t want to start another medication so I said to give me a bit of time… that was 3 years ago. I started eating 1/4-1/3 c. of nuts every morning. The next year my A1C was 5.2. It has varied between 5.1-5.3 since then. This year it was 5.3. My lipids have improved as well. I am not afraid of eating carbs like I was before. I eat good whole grain carbs, but can even enjoy dessert and it hasn’t spiked. Just thought I would share my experience. I eat whole walnuts, pecans and cashews.
