Whether you have student loans now or might have them in the future, we know that many caregivers are impacted by the financial strains that come with earning higher education. Service within the Providence family of organizations may qualify you for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
PSLF is a federal program for Direct Student Loans. It forgives the remaining loan balance of borrowers who make 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying payment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer such as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
To qualify for PSLF, individuals must:
Digital PSLF Form: Request an email invitation to register with Tuition.io by entering your work email address. Once you are signed into your Tuition.io account, please click on the PSLF tile on the main page and then click Start formor click PSLF dashboard under Loan forgiveness on the purple menu on the left-hand navigation bar, then click Start form. After you click “start form” on the PSLF dashboard page, you will need to select your employer. Your employer’s name and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) can be found on your W-2. Once your form has been processed, it will be submitted to the PSLF loan servicer, MOHELA on your behalf. You will receive an email notification after each step is completed.
Please note: If you have transferred roles within the Providence family of organizations, you may have more than one employer. Be sure to check your W-2s for this information. You will be required to complete a PSLF form(s) for each individual employer within the Providence family of organizations. If you cannot locate this information, call 888-687-3753 or open an HR case/ticket under Contact HR under the Quick links section on the Caregiver Service Portal.
