Back-Up Child and Elder Care

The dependable solution for any number of situations when you are scheduled to work and need temporary care: school is cancelled, your nanny isn’t available, a parent or spouse just had surgery, or your loved one’s regular caregiver is unavailable.

Program Details:

• Reserve care up to 90 days in advance, at home or in thousands of vetted centers in the Bright Horizons network
• Back-up care is available for children ages 6 weeks – 17 years (and for adult/elder family members age 18+)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Benefits-eligible caregivers (scheduled work hours are a minimum of 20 hours per week)
• Back-up care provides a maximum of 10 uses annually per eligible caregiver

Care Options:

• Center-based care is $15 per child per day (maximum $25 per family)
• In-home care for dependent adults, elders or max three children is $24 for up to four hours and $6 for each additional hour
• Out of network support might be available where regular care options are unavailable
